I made this to respond to a comment about how crypto is "popped" because we haven't gotten back to our ATHs yet. I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it as well.
It's been 2 weeks since we were at ATHs, jesus. People are so god damn impatient. So because the crypto market doesnt go up EVERY day it's done?
Markets go up, they go down. I am constantly astonished at how many people bought in weeks ago expecting to 10x their money immediately, only to sell when the growth stopped. In the first 8 days of 2018, the market cap grew roughly 180 billion. Guess what the market cap was in Oct 2017? 180 billion. In 8 days, the market cap grew as much as it was TOTAL just a few months ago. That is unsustainable, a correction was inevitable.
Do you wish you had bought BTC early? Guess what, in order to have made it to sell on the high of Dec 2017, you would have to have been able to make it through much worse than this correction. Every one has convinced themselves they would have been millionaires if they had bought years ago, but 99% of you would have sold in 2013-2014, the many dips between 2014 and now, and again during the China FUD.
Were you planning on selling into fiat this week if prices were high? If not, the price doesn't matter right now. You still have the same amount of crypto, and unless you were planning on selling completely before the dip, nothing has changed.
Be patient. Go look back through the charts, and if you are thinking of selling right now due to the dip, please stop saying you were "THIS close to being a millionaire! I looked at BTC when it was 200!", as you would have sold long before you got to that point.
