Coindash to Blox – A Smart Move
What’s up guys, so I wanted to take a second and talk about the recent changes Coindash has made in the last week or so. If you haven't already noticed Coindash has rebranded itself and launched a mobile app under the new name Blox. The company has also released a fresh new user interface and website to complete their transformation.
All-and-all, I think this was a great idea by the Coindash developers. It was a little weird how they decided to make the changes unannounced but I have read they wanted to give their users an instant upgrade.
CoinDash to Blox - A Fresh Outlook
The switch from Coindash to Blox wasn't just a name change; it also represents a full systems upgrade by the development team. The crypto community has been eager for more social trading capabilities and the Blox upgrade is set to deliver. The Blox platform utilizes multiple APIs, so users can now track and manage their portfolio from different devices & exchanges using the new mobile app.
Why The Change of Name?
I think it was a smart move to rebrand the platform considering it is a full update to the current systems capabilities. Coindash had already had its name tarnished last year by hackers that managed to steal around 43k ETH. This put Coindash in the crypto spotlight for all of the wrong reasons.
While hacks are nothing new in the cryptocommunity, this hack was very unusual in that the hackers have been slowly sending the ETH back with 10k ETH returned in September 2017 and an additional 20k returned last month. Nobody knows why the hackers are sending the funds back to the company but speculation has been running wild online. I for one beleive that the hackers are becoming paranoid, and trying to distance themselves.
Blox – Is there anything new?
The Blox system update is far more than just putting a cooler name to the platform. The developers have really made some serious protocol updates and the entire platform is now way more user-friendly.
Blox is more than just a price monitoring app, as it allows you to automatically integrate your wallets and exchanges into one easy to understand user interface. This is a powerful tool for traders who need up-to-the-second analysis of their portfolio. The new platform already supports english, with more to come:
-
Chinese
-
Korean
-
Spanish
-
Italian
CDT Tokens
The entire platform still runs off of the CDT token, so there is no need to sell your CDT tokens as you can transfer them to the new mobile platform. I like that these guys didn't create a new token because it would have killed the value of my CDT tokens I already have saved up. The 10% increase in price was also a welcome suprise in the sea of red.
Blox is shaping up to be the next big mobile portfolio manager. It looks like the Coindash camp has managed to learn from their mistakes in the past and their newest project looks like it could be a major hit in the cryptocommunity. So far it’s a big hit with me.
What do you think guys? Did Coindash make the right move? Let me know in the comments below.
