Please correct me - and I mean it honest -, but I think the more Crypto gets adopted, the less it will make you rich
I am into the game since roughly one year. I don't care that much about all the dips. As a software architect working for a company that also invests in crypto I was fascinated about the technology (am using it now in one our prototypes, too) and so somehow I joined the game with the sense of combining supporting great technology with the possibility to make some money beside that intention.
I am right now the opinion that mass adoption is in direct relation to a continuous dying EXISTING crypto market. We won't get rid off FIAT that fast. So my assumptions are based on the fact that ANY token/currency still has some FIAT pairing. Even the biggest dreamers have to admit that FIAT will stay for a very long, long time :)
But why am I saying this? Because adoption can only work when people can afford (IN MASSES) a token/currency. And this is the reason why adoption won't make you rich (IF there is a bigger sense behind a currency than being just virtual gold (!))
Example
Let's take an utility token. If a utility token gets too expensive, noone will use the software/product behind it. So IMHO as much as I like the idea of using a utility token to "pay" for some capability of a product, the adoption rate will sink if a token gets so expensive that noone can use it anymore. Therefor for the sake of adoption the product owner needs to go down with utility costs for his product and so the value of the token will sink. IMHO utility tokens are DOOMED to stay at a given price. Imagine Lumens will be so expensive that for the user of the transaction it makes no sense anymore to spend it, because it just too much of value. The implication would here be, that Stellar needs to decrease the costs once again :)
But what is with Bitcoin?
I am not sure if Lightning network and increasing the adoption rate will help the value of Bitcoin. I have more the opinion that a higher adoption rate will also lead to a sinking value.
Conclusion
Not sure if I am thinking totally wrong. Could be I am making the complete wrong assumptions. Would be great to get some of your opinions in the discussion without any insulting, memes or bullshit bingo. Thanks and LOVELY easter holidays 2018. Care about your family and friends and put crypto and your mind to sleep these days.
EDIT
Unbelievable that some people are so limited in their mind that the only thing they can think off is "how can i get rich" and "this guy said I am not getting rich so I down vote". Guess the reason why crypto is in this kind of stage is the fact so many brainless people are into it.
