I'm a long-term holder of ONT and hope for all the best of the project. I would like to raise awareness to the fact that the circulating supply of Ontology on coinmarketcap is incorrect. This has to due with Coinmarketcap using a different methodology to calculate circulating supply which the Ontology team does not agree with this. See this snapshot from Telegram: (Click here)
The ontology team has actively reached out to Coinmarketcap to update but has yet to get a response. I would like to appreciate that this shows the quality of the Ontology team for trying to correct a mistake of Coinmarketcap.
The real circulating supply is 537.5 million instead of 241 million. Please read this article for more information on the circulating supply of ONT: https://medium.com/ontologynetwork/ontologys-ont-token-distribution-and-circulating-supply-da96d5540827.
This means that the current market cap of ONT based on the current price of $3.76 is actually 3.76 * 537.5 million = 2.021 billion USD as opposed to 908 million USD. This gives it 2/3th the marketcap of NEO.
I am posting this for the reason that I want Ontology to succeed in the long term and not take a potential dump when people find out the circulating supply is much higher than stated on coinmarketcap hurting peoples portfolios in the process.
